Terms of service
Effective October 2, 2026
The service
Fortific sends subscribers a daily email of Austin-area jobs, built from public building permit records published by the City of Austin and from the Travis Central Appraisal District’s public tax roll. By starting a trial or subscription you agree to these terms.
Owner records: mail outreach only
Some leads include the property owner’s name and mailing address from the appraisal district’s tax roll. You may use owner records only to send printed mail (such as a letter, postcard or door hanger) offering services related to the work at that property. You may not:
- use owner records to find or contact anyone by phone, text or email, or to look up other information about them;
- sell, share, publish or upload owner records to any list, database or service outside your own business;
- contact an owner again after they ask you to stop, or use owner records to harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone;
- use owner records in any way that breaks federal, Texas or local law.
Owners can ask to be removed (see our privacy policy). We may suspend or end your account, without refund, if you misuse owner records.
Contractor contact details
Contractor names and phone numbers come from public permit records, where businesses list them for their work. Use them for business-to-business outreach about construction work, and stop contacting anyone who asks you to.
Trial, billing and cancellation
Plans include a 14-day free trial. Stripe charges your card when the trial ends and then monthly until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the billing link on your settings page; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number.
Accuracy
We decode and summarize public records automatically. Records can be incomplete, late or wrong, and our summaries and trade matches can miss things. Check the official permit before relying on a lead. The service is provided as is, without warranties, and we don’t guarantee you’ll win any work.
Your account
Your settings link is private to you; don’t share it. Digests and CSV downloads are for use within your own business.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Fortific isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it. These terms are governed by Texas law.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; if a change is significant we’ll tell subscribers by email before it takes effect. Questions about these terms can be sent through the form on the privacy page.
