Public records we use
Fortific’s leads are built from two public sources:
- City of Austin building permits (the city’s open data portal): the job address and description, and the contractor’s business name, phone and business address as listed on the permit.
- Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD) certified tax roll, the appraisal roll TCAD publishes each year: the property owner’s name, mailing address, whether the property has a homestead exemption, and the deed date.
Owners who have asked TCAD to keep their records confidential (for example under Texas Tax Code §25.025), or whose address TCAD suppresses, are never loaded. We don’t buy, collect or publish owners’ phone numbers or email addresses.
Who sees owner records
Owner name and mailing address appear only in the private daily emails and CSV downloads of paying subscribers, and only on leads for work that follows a permitted job (for example, a fence after a new pool). They never appear on our public website. Subscribers agree to use owner records for mail outreach only.
Information about subscribers
- Your email address, plan and lead filters (trades, ZIP codes, job value).
- Billing is handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID, never your card number.
- Basic, cookie-free usage analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to see which pages and buttons people use.
We use service providers to run Fortific: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email), Stripe (payments) and an AI provider that summarizes permit text. We don’t sell personal information.
Ask to be removed
If you own a property and don’t want your name and mailing address included in Fortific leads, send the form below. We’ll stop including your information in new emails within 7 days and confirm by email. We can’t recall emails already sent, and the underlying records stay public at the City of Austin and TCAD.
Subscribers can delete their account by cancelling in the billing portal and asking us here.
